We caught a taxi to Kings Cross station, it took an hour to get there because, even though today is the hottest day on record in London for 10 years, the road was flooded. Burst water main, this together with peak hour traffic, and some very 'close shaves' made the ride anything but boring.
The train trip to Leeds was nice, we passed through lots of small towns and green countryside, fields full of solar panels, and wind turbines.
Leeds is a nice city, the size of Hobart. It has some beautiful old buildings. Unfortunately we are only here for one night. We will try to get back.
We met up with Mark, Michelle and Matilda again for a quick beer and some proper fish and chips, Tammy tried the mushy peas. (or rather Moooshy peas !) The fish and chip shop was an old Tudor style building some hundreds of years old. Michelle brought along 2 fresh, warm pork pies, they were absolutely delicious.
Fleetwood Mac
The first time in 15 years that Chris McVie has played in the band.
The first two concerts were cancelled, one whilst people were entering the stadium.
We got lucky, 7 rows back from the front and right in the middle.
It was absolutely brilliant. They played all the classics. You could hear 10,000 people singing along.Chris McVie rolled out the grand piano to finish the concert off with Songbird, the song we had at our wedding, not that I'm a romantic or any such thing, but it was truly one of those moments.

We got completely lost going home via a few pubs, and a few more local beers we managed to see most of Leeds at night. Plenty of security, and no sober locals to help with directions.
It's been another great day.
