We ventured
back on to the moor.
We drove past a sign that indicated the way to a waterfall, we thought we would visit as we were passing. The car park cost us $30 and the waterfall was more of a steep river, very disappointing, the only thing that saved it was the fact that they had 3 meerkats.

First we found a fantastic church, the bells rang out a tune when we arrived for 9.00 am. The church was built in 1200’s with the typical barrel vaulted ceiling for that period. We now recognise these things.
St Peters Church, Buckland-in-the-Moor.
We then went for a 3 hour walk on the Moors in search of a stone age village, on the way we passed a field of Bison. (Tammy called them Highland cows, or something).

The Moors - Exmoor
Whilst Steven was taking pictures of some holes in the ground, convinced that he had found it, Tammy called out ‘I think this is it over here’. It was fairly obvious really. To think that this was an entire community 4,000 years ago.
Oddly it was barely sign posted and there was no-one else there, except a man walking his dog. The car park was big enough for only two cars.
Grimspound.
We then decided to put some miles on the clock, we are running out of days. We got on the M5, our first experience on the motorway since our first day with the camper and spent 2 hours rarely under 70mph.
We reached
Wales and the sun had come out, found a pub and had a pint.
Tammy had the good old fish and chips and Steven had the beef and Ale pie.
