Today is Sunday, race day.
We started the day early and were on track at 8.00am. The working classes were already six deep at the fences on their plastic chairs, they didn't have 'Premium' tickets.First off was GP3 and GP2 races followed by the Porsche cup.
Then we had the F1 Drivers track parade, this consisted of several drivers being carted around the track on the back of a truck.
Some people jumping out of a plane with parachutes was next, followed by a display by an Air Force Typhoon. This was impressive.
The race started.
The first 20 laps were led by someone other than Lewis. Many spectators on our grandstand left to get more beer or do some shopping.
A clever pit stop put Lewis in the lead and our grandstand filled above capacity.
Unfortunately Ricciardo went into the pits and didn't come out.
Lewis made another pit stop just before it rained and put on wet weather tires. That was it, they never got near him after that.
We walked home along the track collecting cheap souvenirs, bits of tire rubber, pebbles from the gravel traps and a plastic tear of visor with Lewis' finger prints on it, should be worth a bit on eBay.
Many of the campers had departed by the time we got home, the 30 minute queue for the showers was gone as was the never ending chorus of 'da da da da da daaaayyy'
It has been a great few days at Silverstone and a good GP.
