Silverstone

Today is Saturday

Here we are at Silverstone with 250,000 other people. It would appear that there is only one person in this race and his name is Lewis.
We discovered fairly quickly that the tickets we bought are 'premium' and entitle us entry to Club Silverstone. So Steven decided to stand in the middle of it and drink his beer, Tammy thought he fitted in really well.

It's great, they have lots of clean toilets and you can see all of the common people through the fence.

Tammy managed to get a picture of Daniel Ricciardo during practice on Friday.
Unfortunately he didn't do quite so well at Qualifying, getting his best time deleted for leaving the track. So 10th on the grid it is for tomorrow.

Steven went for a drive around the track, he thinks, didn't seem to notice the fact that there were no rear wheels, time to beat was 1 min 38 secs, Steven was close at 2 min 45 sec plus a 3 hour penalty for driving in the wrong direction on the track. The young man who was organising the rides told us the car would need a new set of tires before the next driver.

Having failed at race car driving Steven tried the bike and did much better although he probably should have had a helmet on.

Here is our grandstand, it's a long way up

.

The Red Arrows were spectacular

Some of the trucks for Ferrari and Mercedes they fly them all over the world, must cost a few dollars.
